Pennsylvania Legacies is the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s semi-annual, illustrated history magazine, published since 2001. Legacies explores a variety of topics in Pennsylvania history for the curious reader. Each issue is developed around a single theme. Aimed at the lay public, we have expanded its usefulness for teachers, including related lesson plans and tips for using the articles in teaching. Legacies is available as a benefit of membership and also as a separate subscription.
Frequency: Semi-annual, coming out in fall and spring.
Topics for upcoming issues of Legacies include:
- Spring 2016: LGBTQ Pennsylvania
- Fall 2016: Citizenship
Print subscribers may expect to receive the next issue of Legacies by May 2016. Online subscribers will be contacted by JSTOR within a week of subscription with instructions for accessing this title.
